How did you meet each other?
We met playing for our work volleyball team in Chicago. We both grew up in the Midwest and dreamt of one day being in a place where we could spend more time outside. We moved to Denver in the fall of 2017 and now get to indulge in our love of outdoor activities during all seasons!
What was the best memory of your wedding day?
Standing up at the ceremony, looking out one way and thinking how thankful we were to have all our favorite people there to celebrate with us, looking out the other way thinking how lucky we were to be getting married in such in a beautiful place, and looking at each other thinking how fortunate we were to have one another.
What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day?
Don’t get too hung up on small details, because you won’t stress about them the day of. Having a day-of coordinator was also a life-saver. She helped to take care of all the small things, allowing us to be worry-free. Make sure to enjoy yourself on your wedding day too! If you want to dance, you dance!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
For our honeymoon, we went to Hawaii – Maui and the Big Island. It was a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure! We took surf lessons, snorkeled, did a bunch of hiking, and explored volcanoes on both islands. We will have to go back when there is lava available for viewing. Hawaii was such a beautiful place, and we would highly recommend it for a honeymoon destination!
