How did you two meet?
Justin and I met each other on Hinge. We began talking on a Friday, went bowling for our first date on Saturday, and we have been inseparable ever since. Favorite memory of our first date: When we were getting to know each other that first night over text, Justin asked me how I felt about kissing on the first date. I, of course, told him I was fine with it; however, I will never make the first move. He also said that he didn't like making the first move due to being scared of rejection. So, he came up with a plan: he told me that if I was feeling it and wanted him to kiss me, then I should compliment how nice his arms were. However, if I wasn't feeling it, then I should compliment how nice his butt was. Clearly, you can make an assumption on which body part I complimented. :)
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Favorite moment of the night: I asked Justin this question and we both said the same thing: We loved the first look. This was the one moment throughout the night where it was just the two of us and we could be ourselves. During this time, we took time to just be together, read our own vows to each other and love on each other without any distractions.
Do you have any advice for couples as they plan their wedding?
The one thing I would say to anyone planning a wedding is to be intentional when choosing a day-of-coordinator. Marina and Jess were there to help with anything and everything so I could fully be in the moment. I can remember literally almost every moment from my wedding day because Marina and Jess were able to take all of the stress off of me, including helping with decor, setting up tables, being the main contact for all vendors, as well as keeping everyone, except for bridal party and family, away from the bridal suite so I could enjoy the day. They also were the time keepers for the night so we wouldn't forget about anything. They truly were amazing.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to California on our honeymoon. We started in San Diego, then drove a couple hours to LA, and then ended the week by driving 6 hours to San Francisco. During our time, we went to Seaworld, two different baseball games, Disneyland, Santa Monica Pier, and Alcatraz. I have been to California before, but Justin has not, which is why we chose to do this together. I hadn't been in over 20 years. We definitely enjoyed it; however, I think it was probably a one-and-done type of trip for us. We feel like we have now seen most of everything California has to offer (that appealed to us). We also are big into swimming, and unfortunately, the water in California was definitely too cold to do that.
