How did you two meet?
Garrett and I met when he was 1 years old and I was 3. Our parents became part of the same small group/bible study through Lookout Mountain Church. Our moms have been good friends and are still close friends and he was best friends with my little brother so we grew up as close family friends.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
My best memory is giving my vows and Garrett says his is watching me walk down the aisle, so pretty much the whole ceremony was the best memory haha.
Do you have any advice for couples as they plan their wedding?
My advice would be to focus in on the personal parts of the wedding that highlight a couple's relationship and let the decor be second to, and follow the lead of that part. It's the personal touches that make a wedding special. One of my bridesmaids said she couldn't even remember the centerpieces a couple days after the wedding, but the personal touches stick in people's brains.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We left for Costa Rica (specifically Liberal Guanacaste) a couple of days after the wedding and stayed at an all-inclusive called Secrets Papagayo. It was amazing! We did ziplining, sat in some volcanic hot springs, and on a jet ski tour got to feed apple pieces to capuchin monkeys. We would definitely recommend it!
