How did you two meet each other?
Like many modern love stories, ours began on a dating app. But rather than the typical swipe-right moment, we found each other on Hinge —a platform where you can comment on prompts and answer questions, making it a little more personal from the start.
Of course, Michael had to buy the premium version to unlock the premium content like Kiley!
Our first real interaction was when Kiley invited Michael to join her and her dog, Chance, for a walk around Sloan’s Lake. When he showed up we hit it off right away (after the shock of how large Chance really was wore off), but the connection we had was undeniable! Only a short year later, we moved in together right next to Sloans Lake and started our journey as a family.
From there, our relationship grew naturally. Whether it's a Red Rocks concert or a soothing hike, we are always having a blast! Over time we realized that even in the small moments, like being introverted at home, the most important thing is being together because we bring out the best in each other.
What was your best memory from your wedding day?
Kiley: My secret dress reveal! I felt like a pop star and I loved seeing the look on Michael's face! Also our first dance!
Michael: Secret dress reveal and when the dogs ran out to us after we just got married!
Do you have any advice for couples as they plan their wedding?
Don't stress about the little things but most importantly, ask yourself what feels best to you! I wish I would have asked less people their opinions and done what I knew I wanted and felt right to me (when it came to my look)
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We did 2 weeks in Italy! It was our dream vacation! We traveled to Rome, Amalfi Coast, Naples, Bologna, and Venice! 4 things we would recommend are food tours (a great way to get to know the city and the culture), and a photoshoot! The photoshoot we booked through Airbnb Services and the pictures are epic. You'll never forget your honeymoon! Disposable cameras. You have to save the picture for the best moments and it is soo fun to take them in to get developed and relive the honeymoon adventure all over again! Lastly, we enjoy staying in Airbnbs when we travel for the convenience of a washing machine and living like a local. The last 2 days of our vacations we spend at a fancy hotel to rest up and prepare for our travels back.
