Amanda + Matt's Pines at Genesee Wedding

My shoes are like me, pretty but ready for a party (hence why I picked lace Toms),
Dress was chosen based off the venue, wanted something mountain romantic and the cotton lace sealed the deal.

How did you two meet each other?
We met each other when we worked together (for different companies) years ago and the first day I saw him I thought “I’m going to marry that guy.” 

What was the best memory of your wedding day?  Our first look was the best memory of our day. Seeing each other for the first time on our special day was incredible.

What advice would you give to other couples planning their wedding?
Do a first look! Or find a few minutes just the two of you to take a breath together and remember the moment.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to Castaway Island, Fiji for our honeymoon (where they filmed the move “Castaway” with Tom Hanks). We did a dolphin excursion, handling fishing tour, and dinner on the beach. It was so important to be able to relax and enjoy each other in a destination we hadn’t been to before. We booked through Costco and it was amazingly affordable, they included extra amenities and excursions in our package for no additional feel and the upgraded private Bure/Bungalow was amazing.

How did you meet each other?
Amy had just moved out to Colorado and wanted to meet some new people in the area! Instantly matching with Storm on the dating app HINGE they went on their first date to sushi and instantly knew it was something special. Storm proposed 3 months later and it has been a dream come true since!

What was the best memory of your wedding day?
Amy: When the french doors opened and I saw my handsome groom waiting for me at the end of the aisle. I also loved seeing all of our loved ones there to support our love story.

Storm: I loved our first dance and having everyone surround us with sparklers!

What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day?
Enjoy the entire day. There will be little things that don't go as planned, but at the end of the day you are marrying your person. Try to take a moment for the two of you to just stand back and soak it all in! It goes so fast and it should be the best day ever!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to St. Lucia and stayed at the Sandals resort. We went for 10 days and LOVED the resort! There were days we relaxed by the beach or pool and other days we chose to try out new excursions. It was the best of both worlds!
