What advice would you give to future couples getting married? Kate: My would be to go with vendors who feel right for you. With all of our vendors, we felt a connection and a true appreciation for their work and dedication. We knew we could trust them to help us pull of the biggest party we would ever throw in our lifetime. Ajay: Enjoy every moment of the day. Take a step back to really appreciate how it all came together. Don't sweat the details, because the important stuff will always fall into place, especially when you have people and vendors you trust Where did you go on your honeymoon? What activities did you do while there? We went on a minimoon outside of Vail and stayed at the Lodge and Spa at Cordillera. We went hiking in Vail, took naps, and ate delicious food! We will be planning a honeymoon to Europe this summer. We would recommend getting away after the wedding even if it is just for a few nights. That time together as newlyweds to decompress with each other was much needed for us!

How did you meet each other?
We met in high school and dated from junior year through college. We went separate ways for a couple of years after college but were inevitably back together after running into one another on St Patrick’s Day of 2012. We knew for sure that we were meant to be and have been together nearly everyday since. We quickly bought a house, got engaged and started making plans for our future together.
What was the best memory from your wedding day? We have 2 favorite memories. The first is walking down the isle. This was the first time we saw each other because we didn't do a first look. So many emotions go through you in that moment. Everyone around you is blurred, you don't notice any noise. It's just the two of you connecting at a level you've never felt before. Our other favorite memory is all the stories that were told over dinner by our bridesmaids and groomsmen during toasts. We were laughing, crying and feeling SO loved. We were overwhelmed with support, and could feel an amazing bond of love and friendships from all of our favorite people. What would be some advice you would give to future couples? Cody: Listen to your bride to be and start planning early, it can take some of the stress out of the process. Also, hire a day of coordinator. Bre: Be organized! I was probably overboard with my charts, printouts, and mock tables, but it really ensures that your day goes exactly how you want it. I concur..... hire a day of coordinator. It takes the stress away and lets you enjoy what the day is all about! Where did you go on your honeymoon? Would you recommend it to others? We honeymooned in the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana. We stayed at the Bavoro Princess and it was absolutely wonderful. The weather was amazing, the beaches were the most beautiful we had ever seen and the people were extremely nice and accommodating. Relaxing together on the beach everyday was perfect and never got old. We did do several activities. Our favorites were the Catamaran and Coco Bongo. We went on a Catamaran boat tour that took us fishing, snorkeling, and to a private island. They cooked us fresh fish and lobster, taught us all about the Dominican culture, and brought us to a sand bar party. We also saw a show at Coco Bongo. The performers were amazing and we had a blast.

How did you two meet?
We met at a local trivia night where Alicia was with a co-worker and Roland Jr. was with his sister in the same group of people. Roland Jr. tried to impress her with lines from a popular comedian and when she didn't recognize the name or lines, found it the perfect opportunity to ask her on a date to see the comedian's upcoming live performance. After a night of comic relief, country music, and numerous Sunday morning church services, they fell in love!
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day? For both of us, our favorite memory of the wedding day was the walk down the isle. We chose not to see each other before the ceremony, so it was so exciting to anticipate. I almost lost my breath the moment the doors of the bridal cottage opened, I heard "At Last" playing, could see all of my favorite people and started walking with my dad down the isle to see Roland. I didn't take my eyes off of him - it was a moment that all time stopped still and all I could see was him and I. For Roland - it was the same moment... he told me after the ceremony that he almost fell forward because his breath was taken away and he felt like he was being knocked over with excitement.
Do you have any advice for future couples getting married?
We would highly recommend considering incurring the cost to have someone coordinate or assist in wedding planning - looking back, we would have liked to have a consistent person involved in the planning to help with last minute communications and carrying out the vision to relieve that stress. If you can't hire a planner or coordinator and you are a DIYer, I'm sure Roland's advice to a bride-to-be would be "don't look too much at pintrest - it will make you crazy!" and my advice to a groom-to-be would be "if your bride-to-be mentions something about what she saw on pintrest, don't roll your eyes at her". In the end, it's all about the experience..... as the bride and groom - pick the one experience you want to have that's important to you and make sure to plan that one part out really well - don't stress too much about the rest, because planning for everyone else's experiences rarely works out just exactly as planned and you can't please everyone. Take a deep breath and enjoy your day!
Where did you go on your honeymoon? What activities did you do while there?
We went to Kauai (with a brief stop at the dentist for a root canal ). We were very thankful we didn't plan to leave the day after the wedding because of the necessary dentist visit. But were very relieved to finally make it to the Island. We stayed the first part on the Southshore at the Grand Hyatt and then the second half on the Northshore at the Westin. We really enjoyed our helicopter ride with majestic views of the Island and our traditional Luau experience. The Grand Hyatt had an amazing pool area and I would love to go back and spend more time at that pool! We would recommend it to other couples - very nice honeymoon treatment and accommodations.

How did you two meet each other?
Dustin and I first met at the University of Colorado Boulder through my college sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. He was working as a hasher (they basically helped the house chef cook, prepare food, wash dishes, and clean up around the sorority house on an everyday basis). A couple of failed first date attempts, study sessions and CU Night Rides later, we reconnected right before Dustin graduated from CU and right as I left for my summer abroad in Italy. Obviously, our timing couldn't have been more perfect. As he spent the summer preparing for pilot training in Oklahoma, and as I travelled around Europe, we stayed in touch and talked every single day (thank you modern technology!) After nearly three months of correspondence, we decided to turn our friendship into a long-distance relationship. I like to think of us as the "long-distance success story" because we have never lived in the same city while dating. The rest, they say, is history!
What was the best memory of your wedding day? Hannah - While I can honestly say I can't pick ONE best memory from the day (because it was absolutely perfect), there are two distinct memories from the wedding that I will most definitely cherish forever. The first was a moment right before our first look - I was standing inside the venue and could see Dustin standing up on the hill outside, with his hand in his pocket. A very typical stance for him. For a moment time stood completely still, and as I walked closer and closer I felt as if everything was happening in slow motion and that after years of dating and months of planning, we had finally reached the most important moment in our lives. It was surreal. Being able to see each other for the ceremony was one of the best decisions, because it took so much pressure off! The second was a moment right before the ceremony. Since my dad's passing, my younger brother knew that when my wedding day arrived he would have some very tough shoes to fill. The two of us stayed together as the rest of the bridal party prepared for the processional. To have such a moment, just my brother and I before he walked me down the aisle, is irreplaceable. His laughter, comedic tendencies, and calm demeanor were one of the only reasons I could keep my composure throughout the ceremony! Not only that, but we KILLED IT on the dance floor during our brother/sister dance to Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" and the crowd loved it!
