How did you meet each other?

Nathan and I met in college. Our best friends were dating each other and seemed to know that Nathan and I would be perfect for each other. We met and we can honestly say, it was love at first sight :).

What was the best memory of your wedding day?

As cheesy as this sounds, we think our favorite part of our wedding day was our first look. Courtney seeing Nathan at the alter and Nathan seeing Courtney walking down the isle.

What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day?

Our advice for future couples is just to enjoy the day. You plan for so long for this one day but sometimes with everything that is going on, you forget to enjoy it. It is most likely the first and last time all those friends and family will be in one place together to celebrate you.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went to Cancun, Mexico on our honeymoon. We stayed at the Riu Cancun. We very much recommend this hotel and the Riu hotels in general. Other than laying on the beach for 5 days, we really enjoyed one of the excursions we did which was a catamaran cruise over to Isla Mujeras, the island across the gulf from Cancun. We stopped and snorkeled at a couple popular snorkeling spots before shopping and having lunch on the island.  The catamaran crew was very entertaining and made the trip an incredible experience.

How did you meet each other?

Watching NFL football playoffs with mutual friends on a Saturday evening. Totally unplanned but we hit it off and the rest is history.

What was the best memory of your wedding day?

Aside from our vows it was sitting on stage together eating dinner. We looked around us at all of the people that we loved and that had played such important parts in our lives over the years and both felt so blessed!

What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day?

Plan ahead and ask for help. As fun as it is to do things yourself and look at all of your options, the wedding date comes quickly and you WILL need to rely on friends and family to help you. You’ll enjoy the process so much more if you don’t try to do it all yourselves. Above all, cherish the process as it is a special time of celebration.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went on a mini-moon to San Fran and Napa. In San Fran we stayed in an awesome AirBnB in Pac Heights and did a lot of site seeing (totally recommend the AirBnB process). We wandered around the city and tried lots of great food. We also biked the Golden Gate to Sausalito  & visited Alcatraz. In Napa we stayed at the Historic Napa River Inn, biked through wine country and relaxed. We would HIGHLY recommend all of it.

We plan to go to Central Europe next spring as our main honeymoon.

Do you have any advice for future couples?

Our advice is to have lots of lists and a very organized person as your planner, but in the end, there are so many details that something is bound to be forgotten. Enjoy the day!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went to Waikoloa, Hawaii on the Big Island. We stayed at the Marriott. We went to a luau, hiked a few volcanoes, hiked in the rainforests to see some waterfalls, and laid by the beach and the pool. We would definitely recommend Hawaii to other couples.

How did you two meet?

Tyler and I were set up on a blind date by a friend who work's with my mom.  Tyler, my mom, and the woman who played match maker (Liz) all worked for the same company.  Tyler worked closely with my mom's friend Liz.  Liz one day asked Tyler if he was single and he said he was and she told him he should meet her friend's daughter.  Neither Tyler or I were too thrilled about a blind date but after a little convincing we committed.  Tyler took me to Vesta Dipping Grill for our first date and the rest is history.

What is the Best Memory of our wedding day?

When we got to walk into the wedding reception to Pour Some Sugar on Me.  We were married and we could finally enjoy all of our hard work and be with our closest family and friends.

Do you have any advice for future couples?

Some advice we would give to couples on their wedding day would be to not stress and whatever happens, happens and it will all be ok.  At the end of the day you get to marry to love of your life and your best friend and that is what matters.  All of the little things in between and along the way are what make the memories of the day.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

For our honeymoon we went to Sandals in Grenada.  We would definitely recommend it.  We did a lot of relaxing on the beach which is just what we wanted/needed.

How did you meet each other?  We met each other freshmen year at Kansas State University through mutual friends.  We were friends for 5 years before we started dating.

3) What was the best memory of your wedding day?  Our best memory was seeing the dance floor full of all our friends and family celebrating.  It was so much fun to have our friends and family all together on this special day, most of whom are scattered across the country.

4)  What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day?  Plan as much as you can early and stay organized.  Then, when it comes down to the last few weeks/days you can enjoy the festivities and celebrating with friends and family.

5) Where did you go on your honeymoon?  Where did you stay and what were a couple activities you enjoyed.  Would you recommend to other couples?  If you used a travel agent and liked them please note that.  We took a "minimoon" to Estes Park, CO.  We stayed at Della Mountain Chateau.  It was perfect for couples.  Very romantic and enjoyable stay!  We spent time walking around town, driving through Rocky Mountain National Park and relaxing!

What would be some advice you would give to future couples as they plan their wedding day:

Don’t stress and just have fun. You’re planning a party! Planning a wedding is only as stressful as you choose to make it. Oh, and hire Drake Busch Photography.

Where did you go on your honeymoon:

We traveled to St. Lucia in the West Indies and stayed at Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort. We spent a lot of time sampling the whole cocktail menu while relaxing at the pool and beach but also took time to visit the spa, visit the volcano, receive a mud bath in the sulphur springs, play tennis, and stand up paddle board. One of the best resorts I have ever been too. I’d recommend it to anyone. No travel planner for the trip - we did it ourselves and it was awesome.

How did you meet?

Cody and I meet each other over 10 years in high school.  We went to prom together senior year and have been together ever since.  Cody proposed at the same spot we had our first date nine years earlier.

What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?

Its hard to pick just one!  We had such an amazing day with our friends and family.  It will definitely be a day we never forget

Do you have any advice for future couples?

Don't sweat the small stuff.  Little things will happen, but if no ones then it doesn't matter.  Enjoy the day!

Where did you go on your honeymoon? What did you do while there?

Where did you go on your honeymoon?  Where did you stay and what were a couple activities you enjoyed.  Would you recommend to other couples?  If you used a travel agent and liked them please note that.  We honeymooned in the Dominican Republic.  We stayed in Bavaro, Punta Cana at the Princess Bavaro All Suites Resort.  We had a week of relation on the beach.  We went kayaking and zip lining and tried to enjoy the down time.  We would definitely recommend the resort to others.  It was a beautiful all inclusive facility with crystal blue water just steps away!

How did you meet?  Paul and I met through mutual friends back in the summer of 2010 while boating on Chatfield Reservoir. We hung out together in the days and weeks that followed, but I think our official first date was to Mezcal. Some might speculate that he was "the one" at that point in time, as Mexican food is definitely one way direct to my heart! Over the course of that summer, we enjoyed dates and parties with friends, and decided to move in together that fall. (Actually, I was more or less another roommate at the infamous 1241 house.) The following March we got our own place, and since then, we've grown so much. Grown as individuals, but really grown as a couple.  I'm not sure there was ever a time when I thought "this guy is the one" - rather, over time, I thought about living my life without Paul and knew that wasn't an option. I wanted to have him in my life forever, share every moment with him, and grow old with him. And as I think about it more, maybe that is in fact just another way of saying yes, he was then, and is now, "the one."

What  was your favorite memory from your wedding day?  first and foremost, seeing each other so happy and so fulfilled on one of the most special days of our lives. A very close second was having the most important people there to help us celebrate such an important occasion, and really feeling all of their love and support. It was overwhelming, but truly incredible to have so many loved ones in one place at one time...all for us.

 

Do you have any advice for future brides?  For others planning their wedding, my best piece of advice is to elicit help from people who know you best. For Paul and I, my sister was our unofficial wedding planner, and because she knows us so well, she was able to help make some important decisions. Needless to say, a strong, organized "driving force" is a must. Another important thing to remember is that a lot of people want to help, so delegate tasks when you can. Don't try to do EVERYTHING on your own because you'll overwhelm yourself. Let others bear the burden on occasion. After all, they love you, and want to make the planning process go as smoothly as you do. Most importantly though, have fun!!

 

Where did you go on your honeymoon?  What did you do there?  We went to Costa Rica on our honeymoon, and stayed at the Occidental Grand Papagayo, which is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort in the Guanacaste region. It was a nice resort; I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars, as it's not the biggest or most glamorous of resorts. The people, though, were very nice and hospitable. We took three excursions: an all day trip to Arenal (including a boat ride across Lake Arenal, and a trip to a hot springs), a hanging bridges tour in the rain forest (which was incredible), and a semi-private catamaran tour, which included food, drinks, snorkeling, and a sunset cruise. We booked through Apple Vacations, which we've done twice now. Both times, we didn't have any problems and were happy with our accommodations and the booking process overall.
