There are many questions that run through a couples mind as they are interviewing potential photographers to capture their wedding day.  At Drake Busch Photography Studio, Ashley and I pride ourselves on being as open and honest about the products and services you will be receiving when you book us for you wedding.  Furthermore we strive to be be as easily accessible to our clients and make your entire wedding experience as enjoyable and memorable as possible.  The following are answers to questions we get asked often during our consultations with couples.

WHEN SHOULD WE SCHEDULE AN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT?

Typically the engagement shoot is scheduled 4-6 months prior to the wedding. This will allow enough time to be able to use the photos for save-the-date announcements, guest books, etc. However, engagements shoots may take place any date prior to the wedding.

The engagement shoot is a very important part of your wedding photography experience. It gives both us as the photographers and you as a couple the chance to get to know each other more.   We like to keep them relaxed and fun in a location of your choice.  It also gives you a chance to get comfortable with us, and being in front of our cameras.

HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE AS A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?

I am formally trained with a photography degree from the Art Institute of Colorado.  2014 will be our 6th year owning and operating Drake Busch Photography and shooting 20+  weddings per year.  We are well equipped and knowledgeable to creatively capture your wedding day and make it the most memorable and fun experience possible.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?

We provide a relaxed, crisp and clean documentation of your entire wedding day.  We spend most of the day capturing fun and candid moments as your day unfolds.  We will also take the time to direct you and your families for more traditional/formal shots as well.

WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU SHOOT WITH? 

We currently are equipped with top-of-the-line Canon professional digital cameras and lenses.  We carry a variety of lighting equipment and flashes the day of your wedding to meet any lighting situation.

WILL I GET THE FULL RIGHTS TO THE PHOTOS FROM MY WEDDING DAY?

The answer is yes if you select the package that includes a CD of high-resolution images?  You will receive a disc of high-resolution jpegs as well as web-sized jpegs with your final products.  You will also receive a copyright release form to take with you to printers who require it.

HOW LONG AFTER MY WEDDING WILL I SEE THE IMAGES?

Typically it takes 3-4 weeks to process and edit each wedding's photos before coming online for viewing and ordering.  Most often a sneak peek will be provided on our blog :)

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL BE ON THE DISC? 

There is no limit to the amount of photos that we deliver to you.  Generally you will get anywhere between 600-900 photos depending on the wedding.

DO YOU TRAVEL?

We LOVE to travel! We would be happy to discuss your wedding plans with you and create a travel wedding package thats just right for you.

DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

Yes we are fully covered with commercial photography insurance.

HOW MUCH DO I NEED TO PUT DOWN TO RESERVE MY DATE?

We require a 30% retainer fee to book and save your date.  The remainder of the amount is then due 3 weeks prior to your wedding.

DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS?

The answer is yes.  We can accept any form of credit card via paypal.  Drake Busch Photography will incur all credit card processing fees.

CAN I ORDER AN ALBUM OR OTHER PRINT PRODUCTS IN ADDITION TO MY WEDDING PACKAGE?

We will work with you to design and create a custom album that you will cherish for years to come.  The styles and options are endless.  We also have a wide array of print products available for purchase either through our online proofing page or direct from us, and our preferred printer.  Ask us to learn more about a la carte and print pricing.
